The operation of the MD780 gas sensors is based on the principle of catalytic combustion. The MD780 gas sensor is suitable for detecting methane, propane, or butane. The MD780 gas detector is available in both a non-explosion-proof housing and an ISSeP15ATEX0030-certified housing.

The MD780 CO sensor operates on the principle of a fuel cell and is suitable for detecting carbon monoxide gas.
